What would it feel like to love your wardrobe?
I talk a lot about building and keeping a wardrobe you love. But loving your wardrobe can be a little fraught. We keep a lot of skeletons in our closets.
This Valentine’s day I’ve gathered some quotes about love in all its varieties and complexities.
Leo Tolstoy “When you love someone, you love the whole person as he or she is, and not as you would like them to be.”
Maya Angelou “Love liberates. It doesn’t bind.”
Rumi “Love is the whole thing. We are only the pieces.”
Madonna “To be brave is to love someone unconditionally without expecting anything in return.”
Jane Austen “There is no charm equal to tenderness of heart.”
Lao Tzu “Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.”
Anaïs Nin “Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born.”
Reese Witherspoon “You always gain by giving love.”
Nicole Richie “True friends are like diamonds—bright, beautiful, valuable and always in style.”
Jim Henson “There’s not a word yet for old friends who’ve just met.”
Oprah Winfrey “Surround yourself with only people who are going to lift you higher.”
Paulo Coelho “When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.”
Misty Copeland “Anything is possible when you have the right people there to support you.”
Jim Morrison “A friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself.“
Vincent Van Gogh “Love is something eternal… The aspect may change but not the essence.”
Love has a million flavors. What flavor of love do you want to bring to your wardrobe?
